In the digital age, natural language processing (NLP) and artificial intelligence (AI) are pivotal in transforming business research methodologies. This talk will explore the innovative applications of NLP and AI in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting vast datasets to drive decision-making and strategic planning. I will share insights from my research and many others on how these technologies can identify trends, predict market movements, and enhance competitive intelligence. Through practical examples, we will discuss the integration of machine learning algorithms and NLP techniques to process and synthesize information that supports dynamic business environments. Attendees will gain an understanding of the potential of NLP and AI to not only streamline research processes but also provide deeper insights that traditional methods might overlook.

樊卫国，爱荷华大学Tippie商学院教授，信息系统领域重要期刊MIS Quarterly客座副主编。樊卫国教授的主要研究方向包括：数据挖掘、文本/网络挖掘、商务智能技术、数据科学、商业分析等，在MIS Quarterly, Journal of Association for Information Systems, INFORMS Journal on Data Science等顶级学术期刊和会议发表论文300余篇，其研究成果的谷歌引用次数超过17600次（H指数63）。樊卫国教授曾为世界500强公司提供咨询，并担任许多政府和资助机构的评审专家，在学术界和实业界享有广泛的影响力。
