Stata 是一套提供其使用者数据分析、数据管理以及绘制专业图表的完整及整合性统计软件。因其诸多优点为很多高校、科研机构和企业所应用。一般该课程分为基础应用和高级应用两种，本门课程是基础应用，36课时，适合于具有经济数学和计量经济学基础的学生选择。主要包括课程简介、数据管理、绘图、矩阵操作、方差分析、简单线性回归分析等内容，旨在初步提高学生解决问题的效率，不为方法所困，敢于接触科学问题的能力。
Stata is a set of integrated statistical software which could provide the users with the functions of data analysis, data management and the drawing of professional charts. Because of its favorable advantages, it is widely used in many universities, research institutions and businesses. Generally speaking, the course of Stata can be divided into two types, Foundation Applications and Advanced Applications, and this course is the Foundation Applications. It contains 36 class hours, suitable for the students who had some basic knowledge related to Economic Mathematics and Econometrics to choose. The contents mainly include the course introduction, data management, mapping, matrix operations, analysis of variance, simple linear regression analysis, etc. The aim of setting this course is to preliminarily improve the students’ problem-solving efficiency, to encourage them not to get trapped by methods, and to develop the ability of facing and solving scientific problems.
